Commentary on fixed book prices published by Manz in third edition “in a new guise”!

Shortly after the new BPrBG 2023 came into force, Dr. Bernhard Tonninger has now updated and significantly expanded his proven practical commentary on fixed book prices in Austria.

Fixed book prices in Austria can now look back on a history of over 130 years. The provisions of the law to be complied with are now preceded by a target provision, which also states that the protection of books as cultural assets is inextricably linked to ensuring a wide variety in book distribution. This commentary explains the individual provisions of the new law, deals with numerous questions that arise in daily practice and should also serve as a valuable reference work for non-lawyers in particular.

Dr. Tonninger has been appointed “Price Fixing Lawyer” by the Association of the Book and Media Industry of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber since 2005 and is the central point of contact for all questions relating to fixed book prices in Austria.
