Mag. Jan Gross

Attorney-at-Law

Commercial law with a tax background — and a bridge to Central and Eastern Europe.

Who he is and how he works.

Jan Gross studied law at the University of Vienna and passed the Austrian bar exam in 2017. Before his legal career he spent three years as a trainee at a tax-advisory firm — a dual qualification that he brings to every mandate to this day: anyone who structures contracts or transactions without considering tax consequences regularly leaves money on the table or invites problems.

He joined Tonninger Schermaier & Partner in 2018, and has been an attorney since 2019. His focus lies in corporate law, M&A and ongoing contract-law work — especially where commercial and tax perspectives have to converge.

Through his language skills — alongside German and English also Slovak and Czech — he is the firm's natural point of contact for Central- and Eastern-European matters, from cross-border shareholdings to international supplier contracts.
